A Manifesto for Beauty

We think about colour and paint differently.

We believe everyone should be able to live in a joyous, safe and beautiful home that tells their story. We are all different. Where and how we live is unique and we want our colours to help you find your joy, your haven and your personal narrative.

Over the last eighteen months, we have thought carefully about how we can make our paint better in every way and we want to share our approach with you. We are:

Happily independent – we formulate, mix and ship our own colours and paint, so we can offer quality and beauty in equal measure.

Transparent – we have nothing to hide and everything to celebrate.

Natural – we make our paint as natural as we can without compromising performance and our True Matt Emulsion is beautifully breathable. We continually work to balance the heady combination of materials, manufacturing and miles.

Human – we are a human scale business, mixing hand and machine and we look for humanity in everything we do.

Kaizen – we are driven to find new ways to improve our colours, products and service. Being small and independent, means we can pivot, tweak and progress.

We believe that beauty is the language of care and this manifests itself in many ways. The true beauty of making our colour and paint is a carefully considered balancing act of responsible and accountable materials, production, locality and respect for humans. It isn’t one over the other.

It’s in the paint that we make, where we make it and how we make it. All combined with warmth, humanity and simplicity – now and in the long-term.
